About Anthony Brindisi
Anthony Brindisi was born, raised, and educated in Utica, New York. After graduating from Siena College and Albany Law School, Anthony and his wife, the former Erica McGovern, decided to start and raise their family in the Mohawk Valley.
A strong believer in public service, Anthony won a seat on the Utica School Board where he earned a reputation of being fiscally responsible and being a strong advocate for taxpayers, students, teachers and parents. Anthony ran successfully for the New York State Assembly in a special election in 2011 to bring concrete reform to Albany, including fiscal responsibility and accountability. He believes that real fiscal reform and sensible budgeting is essential to New York State’s economic recovery and growth and will create job opportunities and good-paying jobs for all New York State residents.
Anthony brings real work experience and know-how to the New York State Assembly. Anthony is respected and known by his colleagues to be an independent voice and work across party lines to help bring change and reform to this area and Albany. Anthony has worked hard within the legislature and with Governor Cuomo to re-invent government in New York so it is run more efficient. Anthony knows that to attract good jobs to New York State we need to keep taxes low and control government spending.
Anthony, his wife and two children reside in Utica.
